Talking of cars crashing... usual eventful stuff in F3 this past weekend, in particular race 2 with a couple of fun incidents down the Kemmel straight.  First off we have Lance Stroll blissfully unaware that Mikkel Jensen is alongside, which also didn't do Rosenqvist any favours: https://youtu.be/5_hHMqMgp9o?t=17m5s  Next up, Brandon Maisano moved across to defend from Gustavo Menezes, which led to this: https://youtu.be/5_hHMqMgp9o?t=29m48s

Stroll was banned from the third race for his efforts, whilst Maisano earned himself a grid penalty.  Rosenqvist sounded a tad unhappy with his fellow racers: "I can officially state that I’ve lost all my trust of other drivers. This is not racing, its dangerous."

From what I've seen from F3 this season, he's right.

Yeah, I've followed the F3 season this year cus they are showing it on TV. He hast lost around 50-60 points thanks to the mistakes of other drivers. In Monza, he won all 3 races but two of them were red flagged due to "repeated dangerous driving" before 3/4 distance, meaning half points were awarded. Those two wins lost him 25 points. Now this in Spa... Next up is Norisring which is a small tight circuit with some high speed slipstream straights. I'm sure Felix won't finish all three races, and I'm sure it won't be his fault.

The sad thing with Felix Rosenqvist is he clearly has what it takes on the driver side but lacks the finances. He has had support from the Mercedes works team but that could only really take him to DTM. They're not going to reject Rosberg and Wehrlein for Rosenqvist and he is too "old" (23 years old in F3) to be considered a superstar. He's just one of those talented guys who won't make it through no fault of their own.

Rosenqvist must've set a record for fist shaking in race three.  He was just a tad unhappy with Markus Pommer's driving... as were the race stewards who gave him the black flag as a reward.

On to Norisring we (they) go, which as you imply has the potential for yet more carnage.

Swedish Rally. There's the famous "Colin's Crest", so named after Colin McRae who became the first one to be a lunatic and jump super far over this crest. Here are the top 5 jumps from last year:

Yes. You should always go with the measurement system where the number is higher.

Don't you mean 167 degrees?

It's a warm one in Sweden today.

Certainly.

Warmest I've ever been is very close to 200 degrees (Fahrenheit). Granted, it was a sauna. Still, it was just below the boiling point for water so it was quite nasty. We usually keep them at around 175-185 degrees.

The original AP story from the first Indy 500: http://bigstory.ap.org/4c4507a3b0a8412d9c035cf59059f159

Injuries and deaths are just buried within the recap.

Bump about Rosenqvist. He returned to Indy Lights this weekend and won both races. Good for him. I've heard rumours he will get to test the Chip Ganassi IndyCar with eyes on Max Chilton's number 8 car for next season.

Sounds less than ideal for Max Chilton....

The rumours have been confirmed, at least the test part. I LOVE IT WHEN I HAVE SOURCES AND THEY ARE RIGHT.

Chilton has been bad, but he brings full sponsorship.

Rosenqvist came in 2nd in the VIRTUAL Vegas eRace GP against sim racers. He was comfortably the best "real" driver, 7th placed Josť Maria Lopez was the closest non-sim racer.

That's a cool $100,000 down his pocket.
